The story

Wine in the Plančić family starts with grandfather Ante Plančić in 1919. Modern production began in 1985, and the winery is run today by the brothers Ante and Mario.

They work only with native Hvar grapes: bogdanuša, parč, plavac mali and darnekuša. Their top wine, Pharos Grand Cru, blends plavac mali with darnekuša from the Dubje site, worked by hand. The name is the Greek one for Stari Grad.

The family’s wines have been winning for decades: in 1986 their Bogdanuša and Opolo took medals at the wine fair in Novi Sad.
