How do you get to Pokonji Dol: on foot, by car or by boat?
Pokonji Dol is the main city beach of Hvar town, a curve of pebbles, gravel and stone slabs about 1.5 km east of the centre, facing the Pakleni islands and the small Pokonji Dol lighthouse islet. You can reach it in 20 to 30 minutes on foot along the seaside path past the Franciscan monastery, or come by car, scooter or taxi boat. Two beach restaurants rent out umbrellas, sunbeds, kayaks and paddle boats in season, and there is a snack bar and a changing cabin.
