The Stari Grad ferry is the only way to bring a car to Hvar from Split. It is a big, steady ship that runs in almost any weather, takes 110 minutes and lands at the Stari Grad ferry port, about 20 minutes by road from Hvar town.
In summer 2026 there are up to 7 departures a day, including an early 01:30 night sailing on some days. A car ferry ticket includes a space reservation for the chosen departure, so book online in July and August.
