Zencisce, practical questions
How do you get to Zencisce: on foot, by car or by boat?
Park along the old Hvar to Stari Grad road above the bay and walk down the steep, rocky footpath, about 10 to 15 minutes on uneven ground. The roadside parking strip is small and fills quickly, so many visitors come by taxi boat or rental boat from Hvar harbour instead. Let our local concierge organise the best of Hvar for you: exclusive villas not listed online, private chef, boats, transfers.
What is the seabed like and how is the entry into the sea?
Zencisce is a quiet cove close to Jelsa with a pebble beach and gently shelving, very clear water. Holiday houses climb the slopes around the bay, pines provide shade for the hottest hours, and the protected position means the sea usually stays calm, making it a reliable family swimming spot away from the busier town beaches. The clear, sheltered water is excellent for swimming and snorkelling; arrive early in July and August to be sure of a spot.
