How do you get to Dubovica: on foot, by car or by boat?
Dubovica is one of Hvar's most photographed coves: a pebble beach on the south coast about 8 km from Hvar town, with an old stone house of the Kasandric family standing right at the water's edge. Park along the old Hvar to Stari Grad road above the bay and walk down the steep, rocky footpath, about 10 to 15 minutes on uneven ground. The roadside parking strip is small and fills quickly, so many visitors come by taxi boat or rental boat from Hvar harbour instead.
What is the seabed like and how is the entry into the sea?
Dubovica is one of Hvar's most photographed coves: a pebble beach on the south coast about 8 km from Hvar town, with an old stone house of the Kasandric family standing right at the water's edge. Park along the old Hvar to Stari Grad road above the bay and walk down the steep, rocky footpath, about 10 to 15 minutes on uneven ground. The clear, sheltered water is excellent for swimming and snorkelling; arrive early in July and August to be sure of a spot.
Is there a restaurant or bar at Dubovica?
Yes, within a few hundred metres you will find Konoba Dubovica, Duba Beach Bar. In peak season come early or book a table for lunch.
What should we bring to Dubovica?
Pack water shoes for the pebbles, an umbrella or a hat, natural shade is not guaranteed, sun cream and a towel.
Can we arrive by taxi boat?
