The classic Pakleni day out: a sandy lagoon with pine shade on Sveti Klement island.

✓ Exact price instantly   ✓ Compares 4 booking sites   ✓ Local concierge support

Palmizana beach lies in Vinogradisce bay on the south side of Sveti Klement, the largest of the Pakleni islands, and is the most famous beach in the archipelago. The shore is partly pebble and partly sandy, which makes it very popular with families.

The island has no cars: arrive by taxi boat from Hvar town straight into Vinogradisce bay, or moor at the ACI marina on the north side and walk the short path across the island.

The bay is ringed by some of the best restaurants in the Hvar area, so many visitors come as much for lunch as for swimming. Beyond the beach there is snorkelling, walking trails and the surrounding botanical gardens; rosemary and pine cover the island.
