About the Crownline EX 260

The Crownline EX 260 brings the American deck-boat idea to the Adriatic: wide lounge seating, deep freeboard and a bow section the kids will fight over. Ten guests sit in comfort rather than in a row.

The 420 HP engine moves it at a 26-knot cruise, quick enough for Bol and back or a lazy Pakleni loop with long swim stops. The layout is superb for swimmers: big platform, easy ladder, space to towel off.

If you want more comfort than a RIB at less than the yacht prices, this is the sweet spot in the fleet.

Every day on the Crownline EX 260 is private. The boat, the skipper and the hours belong to your group alone, which is why the route bends to you rather than to a timetable: a later start after a long night in town, an extra hour in a bay everybody liked, lunch at a konoba only reachable from the water.

Because the price is set per boat and not per seat, a full crew of 10 pays exactly what two people pay. That is the arithmetic that makes a rented boat on Hvar better value than a seat on a group excursion as soon as your group reaches four or five.

A day on the Crownline EX 260

Hvar town sits at the head of an archipelago, and that is the whole reason a boat here is worth more than a boat somewhere else. Within twenty minutes you are in water no road reaches.

With a cruise of 26 knots the long routes fit comfortably into one day: the Blue Cave and Vis in a single sweep, or Korcula town for lunch and back before the light goes. A standard rental day runs roughly nine in the morning until somewhere between six and half past six in the evening, because the boat has to be back on its berth before dark. Shorter half days are possible on request and are usually enough for Palmizana and two or three Pakleni coves.

Your skipper reads the wind before you leave. The afternoon maestral is a normal summer sea breeze and only decides which side of the island you spend the afternoon on; a strong bura is the wind that keeps boats in port, and in that case you get a sheltered route, a free move to another day, or a full refund.

Good to know before you book

Skipper and fuel

A professional local skipper is included, so nobody in your group needs a boat licence. Fuel on skippered boats is normally included in the daily rate; we confirm exactly what is and is not included in writing before you pay.

Deposit and payment

The booking is held with a deposit, usually around thirty percent, and the balance is settled on the day. There is no legal tariff for security deposits in Croatia, so we tell you the exact figure for this boat before you commit.

Where you board

From the Hvar town waterfront, on the pontoon that belongs to this boat. We send a map pin, a meeting time and your skipper’s number the day before. Pickups from Stari Grad, Jelsa or a south side bay can often be arranged.

Weather

Skippers watch the forecast from about forty eight hours out. If the day is not safe you choose between a sheltered route inside the Pakleni islands, a free move to another date, or a full refund.

How many really fit

The 10 on the certificate is a legal maximum, not a comfort figure. Allow room for bags, towels, a cooler and somewhere to lie down; if your group sits right on the number, the next boat up costs less than the difference it makes to the day.

When to book

For July and August, one to two months ahead for the larger boats. In May, June, September and October a few days is usually enough, and those are the nicest weeks on the water anyway.

Crownline EX 260 rental, common questions

Is a skipper included with the Crownline EX 260?

Yes, a professional skipper is included in the price. You do not need a licence: you board, choose the route together and the crew handles the rest.

How many guests can join?

The Crownline EX 260 takes 10 people. For bigger groups we can pair it with a second boat from our fleet of 35 so everyone travels together.

How much does renting the Crownline EX 260 cost?

Rental starts from €900 per day. The exact quote depends on the date and route and is confirmed before you commit, with no surprises after.

How do I book it?

Send the inquiry form with your date, or message us on WhatsApp. We reply fast between 8 am and 10 pm and hold the boat while you decide.

Is fuel included in the price of the Crownline EX 260?

Fuel is normally included on skippered boats like this one. Harbour fees at a lunch stop, national park tickets, food and drink are not. We put the full list of inclusions in writing with your quote, so there is nothing to settle afterwards that you did not already know about.

Do I need a boat licence?

No. A professional local skipper comes with the boat, so nobody in your group needs a certificate of competence. That matters in Croatia, where the regulations require a qualified operator on board and, unlike much of the Mediterranean, make no exemption for small engines.

How far can we go in one day?

As far as the boat is certified and the weather allows. The Pakleni islands are twenty minutes away, the south shore of Hvar half an hour, Bol on Brac about forty five minutes. Vis, Bisevo and Korcula are comfortable full day runs on this boat.

What happens if the weather turns?

You choose: a sheltered route inside the Pakleni islands, a free move to another day, or a full refund. Nobody on this island makes money by sending guests out in weather they will not enjoy.

Can we bring food, drinks and children?

Yes to all three. There is a cooler on board and most boats carry ice. Lifejackets in children’s sizes are standard and are worn. Soft bags only, please, and bring more sun cover than you think you need, because the sea reflects everything back at you.
