Hvar.com started with a simple idea: the island deserves a guide written by people who actually live here, walk to these beaches, eat in these konobas and know which villa really has the view from the photos. Since 2005 we have been building exactly that, one honest page at a time.
We rent villas we have personally visited, and we describe them the way we would to a friend: the sea view and the heated pool, but also the stairs, the parking and how far the bakery is. The same rule runs through the whole site, from live Google ratings on our hotel and restaurant lists to access notes on every beach.
Beyond the guide, we are a small local team you can actually reach. Our water taxi connects the island with the airports and the archipelago, our concierge arranges chefs, boats and transfers, and when you send an inquiry it lands with a person who knows the island, not a call centre.
