Mala Milna
The smaller of the two Milna coves, right below the coast road 10 minutes from Hvar town.
Mala Milna is a small pebble and fine gravel beach, about 50 m long, in a protected cove in the village of Milna, 4 km east of Hvar town on the south shore. Parts of the shore are stone slabs and rock with an easy entry to the sea.
You can drive from Hvar town in around ten minutes or arrive by boat from Hvar harbour; Gostionica Mala Milna, the family restaurant right on the beach, even runs its own boat transfer from Hvar at 10 am.
The restaurant serves fresh fish with its own wine and olive oil, and there is a cafe bar for drinks. The cove is calm and family friendly, and the small beach fills up in high season, so come early.
Beach vitals
Faces the open south, so it is calm in the bura from the north and choppy when the jugo blows from the south east.
Sun most of the day, shade only where the pines or the cliff reach the water.
