How do you get to Bonj: on foot, by car or by boat?
Bonj is an easy 10 to 15 minute walk from Hvar town: follow the seafront promenade north-west past the Riva and the Amfora resort and it brings you straight to the stone terraces. There is no parking at the beach itself, so leave the car in Hvar town. In summer taxi boats from the Riva also stop nearby.
What is the seabed like and how is the entry into the sea?
Bonj, known as Bonj les bains, is not a classic pebble beach but a white stone colonnade from 1927 and a bathing platform under a pine grove, on the eastern shore of the Amfora hotel bay, a short stroll west of Hvar town centre. This is a paid, serviced swim spot rather than a free beach, so it suits couples and guests who want comfort and calm. The free rocky shore of the promenade continues just beyond it.
Is there a restaurant or bar at Bonj?
Yes, within a few hundred metres you will find Beach Club Hvar, Teo's House Hvar, Vunetovo Craft Beer, Dva Ribara. In peak season come early or book a table for lunch.
What should we bring to Bonj?
Pack water shoes for the pebbles, an umbrella or a hat, natural shade is not guaranteed, sun cream and a towel.
Can we arrive by taxi boat?
