Built for holidays together

Why the biggest houses on the island beat a row of hotel rooms every time.

Space that actually works

Multiple en suite bedrooms, more than one living area and long dining tables: a good group villa lets ten people share a holiday without queuing for anything.

The pool as the meeting point

Mornings around the coffee machine, afternoons around the pool, evenings around the barbecue: group villas are built around shared outdoor space, with room to escape to when you need quiet.

Cheaper per person than you think

Split between eight or twelve people, a villa often costs less per head than mid range hotel rooms, with a kitchen, a pool and privacy no hotel can offer.

Celebrations welcome

Birthdays, anniversaries and reunions work beautifully here: our concierge arranges chefs, catering and boats so the host gets to enjoy the party too.

Where to base the group

Four corners of the island

Hvar Town and the coast

Walk to restaurants, bars and the riva: best for groups that want the evenings to happen outside the villa as much as inside it. See Hvar Town.

Stari Grad and the bay

Calm water, a historic core and easy ferry access with cars: a favourite for multigenerational groups. See Stari Grad.

The south coast coves

Sveta Nedjelja, Zavala and the coves between them: seclusion, wine country and the clearest sea on the island for groups that want to disappear for a week.

Pakleni islands

A short boat hop from town and a world away: villas here trade convenience for total peace, with the taxi boat as your driveway.

Group villas, common questions

How many people can a group villa on Hvar sleep?

The group listings on this page start around eight guests and run past twelve, with bedroom and bathroom counts stated on every villa page. For anything larger, send an inquiry and we will combine properties or find a bigger house.

Are these villas good for multigenerational family trips?

Yes, that is exactly what most of them are built for: en suite bedrooms for privacy, shared living spaces for the time together and pools with space for everyone. Grandparents, parents and kids each get their corner.

Can we hire a chef or have the villa stocked before arrival?

Both are standard requests: our concierge arranges private chefs, pre arrival grocery stocking, boat days and transfers for the whole group. One message covers all of it.

Is a villa practical without a car?

In and around Hvar Town, yes: restaurants, beaches and the port are walkable and taxis fill the gaps. For south coast or countryside villas we recommend at least one car or scooter for the group, or our transfer arrangements.

When should a large group book?

Earlier than anyone else: big houses are the scarcest category on the island. For July and August the best group villas are gone by spring, while June and September stay flexible longer and cost less.
