Mina is the best known beach in Jelsa, about 1 km east of the waterfront, just past the hotel. One end of the bay is sandy, the other side is natural stone, and both sides are shaded by pine trees at any time of day.
It is an easy walk of about 1 km from the harbour, past several restaurants. On the beach there are showers, changing cabins on a concrete platform and sun loungers for hire, plus cafes and food outlets.
The far end stays shallow for a long way out and has a small aqua park in season, which makes Mina especially good for children. The name Mina means a sea shelf in the local dialect.
